Sacraments at St. Mary Catholic Church

Baptism	Please contact the Parish Office. First-time parents meet with either Fr. Mike or Fr. Seth for a meeting/class about Baptism. For Godparents who attend another parish, please obtain a sponsor certificate from the parish they attend.

First Communion	St. Mary’s Church celebrates First Communion for students in 2nd grade.

First Reconciliation	St. Mary’s Church celebrates First Reconciliation for students in 2nd grade.

Confirmation	St. Mary’s Church has Confirmation every other year for primarily 7^th and 8^th grade students. Preparation for Confirmation includes extra classes and a retreat. Adults or other high school students who have not been confirmed yet may prepare for the Sacrament through the RCIA program. Contact the parish office for more information.

RCIA	Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults begins in September with classes held each Monday evening through May.

Marriage	Please contact the Parish Office at least six months in advance. Marriage preparation includes a Pre-Cana or Engaged Encounter course, a preparation meeting with one of the priests and a wedding preparation meeting with the music director. Confession	3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays or by appointment On Saturdays, the Chapel of Our Lady serves as the Reconciliation Room. Please enter the Chapel by passing through the sanctuary and going to right-hand door. Please close the door behind you when you enter the Chapel. You will have the option of either anonymous confession by kneeling on the kneeler or face-to-face confession by walking to the right of the standing screen to the empty chair. In the event of a wedding (or pictures being taken in the church after the wedding) you may enter the Chapel for confession through the hallway on the right side of the church. If you are not sure if anyone else is in the Reconciliation Room ahead of you, simply knock and wait for instructions. Often during Advent and Lent, two priests are available for confessions at the usual 4p – 5p time. If so, one hears confessions in the Chapel of Our Lady and the other in the Sacristy. Enter the Sacristy by passing through the sanctuary and going to the left-hand door.
