Important Information on the HHS Mandate

Dear Parishioners and Guests,

I am very happy to welcome you to our web page. We have a wonderful parish here in Marietta. We have been praying together, working together and rejoicing together since 1838. Parishioners of the past achieved a great deal, and we continue to achieve much for the parish and the community. But one of the greatest achievements, and one that we must constantly strive to build upon, is “family”. We must sincerely strive to be a “parish family” – loving one another and growing together in prayer and mutual support. The parish community is where the mission of Jesus Christ comes to life and continues day to day.

We have a beautiful renovated church building and an outstanding Catholic School; but the parish is first and foremost a people – a people called together by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our parish exists not for itself, but for the mission of Jesus Christ. The parish is called to teach, and witness the Gospel of Christ to our children, to those preparing for deeper Sacramental life, to those alienated from the Church and to those not active in the parish community.

Because the parish is a structure, all parishioners are called upon to recog-nize their individual talents and gifts and to use those talents and gifts in one or more of the many and various ministries of the parish.

Your presence in our parish is very enriching for us. Your presence in the parish will give us yet another facet of the “Living Body of Christ”. You are most welcome here at St. Mary’s. May God bless you and give you the grace to feel very much at home here. If there is anything you need, please do not hesitate to ask.

Scrip Order Form Now Online! Scrip certificates are a great way to support our school and not have any additional out-of-pocket expenses. We purchase these corporate issued gift certificates at a discount and sell them to you at face value. They are good at stores and restaurants across the country, so they make excellent gifts.

Print out the scrip order form an send with your payment to the school, the rectory (during regular business hours), in the Church conference room on Wednesday mornings and in the back of the Church on Sundays (after the Saturday 5:30 PM AM Mass as well as before & after the Sunday 10:00 AM Masses).
